It is also the title track of Robin Trower’s second solo
release after leaving Procol Harum the year before. Trower used the classic
power trio recipe to create a string of exceptional albums throughout the 70’s
with bassist/vocalist James Dewar and drummer Reg Isadore. The LP was the
trio’s biggest commercial success and included many of what would become
Trower’s standards.
It would be nice if the actual bridge were the reason for
the evocative title, but actually it was the name of a horse in a sports
magazine Trower had read and he thought it sounded cool. So much for THAT
theory.
