#1451 – SUNDAY, BLOODY SUNDAY – U2 – 1/30/2020

January 30^th marks the anniversary of Bloody Sunday which was one of the most significant events in Northern Ireland’s troubled history. 13 civilians were killed by forces of the state, in full view of the public and the press.

I am not Irish. Nor am I taking sides. I only pose this question: If the strife and hatred in one of the world’s longest and most bitter factional disputes finally has lessened, then I cannot believe peace elsewhere in our troubled world cannot mirror the success in Northern Ireland.
