This pseudo-instrumental comes from the third album released
by Chicago ,
cleverly titled III. HAPPY ‘CAUSE I’M GOING HOME concludes the side of the
(original) double album’s Travel Suite; a reflection on the band members’
emotions about their relentless 2 year touring schedule. To me, the song always
evokes both the anticipation of a long journey’s end and the happiness of
arriving home once again. I hope you are able to be with your loved ones this
