Two friends whose intellects I admire suggested searching
for and reading an internet news article entitled: “Prepare for the Ultimate
Gaslighting”. I did. Although I don’t subscribe to all of the statements made
therein, it was thought provoking and an interesting read. It made me think of
this song by The Kinks – 20TH CENTURY MAN from 1971’s Muswell
Hillbillies. There we some fairly familiar concepts extolled by Ray Davies –
almost 50 years ago.
