John Prine’s more serious (and yet sentimental) side comes
out in this song bemoaning the abuse of the land of his childhood by corporate
coal.
This week in my attempt to send out good thoughts to John
& his family, I am going to post some of my favorite of Prine’s songs. Stay
strong, John. This world is a far more interesting and positive place with you
in it.
