My dedication this week is to everyone who joined me on my road trip; I hope YOU enjoyed it because I sure did – the trip and the company. Which brings us to this week’s Nugget by a favorite (an grossly under-rated) band, The Bottle Rockets. Click on play. This lyric’ll kind of give you an idea of why I gotta do a road trip every once in awhile:
“It don’t take too much to see that I’m outta place and time
So you just read the signs and sing the tune.
Won’t say I told you so when I get the urge to go
I hope you know you’d better give me room”
Thanks for coming along for the ride. I’m off to buy Powerball tickets. With a little bit of luck, we’ll all meet at Lake Mead. Go Sox!
"Music was my first love. It will be my last. To live without my music would be impossible to do for in this world of troubles my music pulls me through" - John Miles, 1976
