This is a tune I most likely never would have heard if not
for my pal at Recycle Seedeez, John Maldinado. Back in the days of record
stores, my favorite record store in Denver Metro was located in Wheat Ridge , the small
town for whom I worked. I walked on my lunch hour one day to shoot the breeze
and find some new music I couldn’t live without. I started talking with my
buddy John and asked him to turn me on to something FUNKY. He thought for a
minute and pulled out this CD – “Late for the Future” by New Orleans ’ own Galactic. FUNK-Y! Spot on! I
have been a fan ever since.
"Music was my first love. It will be my last. To live without my music would be impossible to do for in this world of troubles my music pulls me through" - John Miles, 1976
