Blue Oyster Cult are the Rodney Dangerfield of Rock. They
were amongst the heaviest of the early metal bands, yet sang beautiful
harmonies. They were one of the first bands to blend their hard rock music with
the occult or fantasy subject matter. They put on a great stage show and used
to fill arenas. They have been around since the early days of underground music
but have been surpassed in popularity by bands like Motorhead, Metallica &
Megadeath. The BOC, like Rodney, never got any respect. So without further
adieu, may I present to you the act you’ve forgotten after all these years: Long Island ’s own Blue Lobster Cult.
