#1767 – UP AROUND THE BEND – Creedence Clearwater Revival - 5/22/2020

The unofficial first day of Summer. We had a Spring like very few others. Let’s hope the worst is in our rear view. It’s time to celebrate – whether you stay in or not, the days are longer, the sun is warmer, the grills are charring raw animal flesh (sorry my vegetarian friends). Over the next few days I will pick a few tunes that make me think of Summer.

If you believe in typecasting your music (grunge, metal, thrash, yacht rock, etc.) this guy and his mates gets credit in my book for starting what has morphed into Americana – John Fogerty & Creedence Clearwater Revival. The music’s not country, not rock, but is driven by guitars and a good lyric. Susan & I have been fortunate (pun intended) enough to have seen him 4 times and never were disappointed.

So c’mon and ride the wind…..Happy Summer.
