A 22 year old Stevie Wonder first began to branch out from
the fairly strict confines of Motown’s
more formulaic recordings. 1972’s “Talking Book” saw Stevie reaching out to
work with artists other than those in the Motown stable. BIG BROTHER expressed
the injustice Stevie felt all around him in a subdued song sonically, but
certainly not lyrically.
