Danny Federici, longtime keyboard player with Bruce
Springsteen in the E. St. Band, passed away 12 years ago on this date after his
battle with cancer. This version is one of Federici’s stand outs – originally found
on the 1973 LP “The Wild, The Innocent & The E. St. Shuffle” – which comes
from the Bruce’s legendary tour of the U.K. in ’75. The band is hitting on
all 12 cylinders (it’s in Britain
so I thought XKE Jag, 12 cylinders? – go for it). This version is a bit long
but WELL worth the investment of your time. It is performances like this one
that garnered Springsteen the reputation as one of the best showmen in music.
"Music was my first love. It will be my last. To live without my music would be impossible to do for in this world of troubles my music pulls me through" - John Miles, 1976
