It’s times like this I really wish I could write well. I wish I could express how I feel. I wish it could equal my happiness.
Gonna break out of the music thing today as we (me & Neal) just found out one of our good long-time friends, Mark (lead vocalist for the Fictionals) and his long-time paramour, Miss D were engaged last night. Good on ya both, mate.
Milesposts are a great thing.
It brought to mind many of my personal mileposts. They kind flashed by me: My proposal to Susan; Purchasing our house; Neal calling to tell me about his daughters; My nieces and nephews asking me to take part in their weddings; My first night on air @ WWUH; Skydiving; First sight of Yosemite Valley, Glacier National Park & Grand Canyon….
They all sync up with music in my mind. Marcus, may your own personal soundtrack for today live with you and Denise forever, my brother.
Love ya. Garvin.
"Music was my first love. It will be my last. To live without my music would be impossible to do for in this world of troubles my music pulls me through" - John Miles, 1976
